# Get involved

*Updated: 2026-11-04*

*Together we make Emprius possible*

## Become a member or make a donation

Emprius members are the key to making the project possible. We aim to build a strong membership base to ensure its viability. Will you join us?

![Become a member or make a donation](https://emprius.cat/_emdash/api/media/file/01M6GZ02GRHY4WY76HFFQGSBD8.jpg)

We aim for a membership base of people making regular annual donations. Members can be individuals who support and trust Emprius, or collectives—organisations and groups aligned with our project.

Members not only contribute to making the project possible but can also participate actively by joining our working groups and attending Emprius’s annual open assembly.

We also receive one-off donations from people and organisations who want to put (part of) certain income or savings towards strengthening the rural commons.

**Why get involved with Emprius?**

1. **We acquire rural housing to enable access for groups with transformative projects** aligned with our values.
2. **We acquire land to offer it to those who want to work and protect it** with agroecological practices committed to local food sovereignty.
3. **We recover Catalonia’s communal history and defend the communal assets** that exist today.

Furthermore, **donations** to Fundació Emprius are **tax-deductible at 80% for the first €250 and 40% beyond that** (45% from the third consecutive year).
