# Guide to co-operative housing in rural areas

We’re very pleased to present the **“Guide to co-operative housing in rural areas”**, written by Estel Jou (architect, member of [1&2 Arquitectura](https://www.instagram.com/undosarquitectura/)) and Clara Gromaches (architect), with contributions from Adela Geli (urban planner) and Oscar López (economist). The guide is an adaptation of a previous report by the authors that we felt would be very useful to make available to everyone.

The document is meant to **support** people who have **identified a property in a village** and are considering buying it to set up a **shared housing project**. The document goes through the various technical and legal requirements we need to consider in order to think about what political and architectural project could work for a property in a rural setting. From the **building work** we might do, to the **legal structure** for ownership, via **living arrangements** and concrete **inspiring examples**.
