Events this autumn

This autumn at Emprius we’re taking part in several events:

On Sunday 5 October we’ll see each other at the march “Let’s defend the land, we want living villages” in Lleida. It starts at 11am at Plaça Ricard Vinyes.

On Thursday 9 October we’re organising an Open Doors session at Emprius, online, at 6pm, where we’ll explain how we work and which different working groups people who want to join can get involved in. Registration and full information here.

On Saturday 1 November there’s a preview screening in Sapeira (Pallars Jussà) of the documentary “Fem cumó, un altre camí” (“Doing cumó: another way”), outcome of the winning proposal for the Emprius Prize 2024 (Premi Emprius). The village will be organising a cumó (communal work day) for All Saints’ Day and a popular chestnut roasting. Full information here.

On Saturday 8 November we’re co-organising in Tremp, at the Ateneu del Pallars, the premiere screening of the documentary “Fem cumó, un altre camí”, outcome of the winning proposal for the Emprius Prize 2024, and we’ll announce the winning proposal for the Emprius Prize 2025. On Thursday 13 November the documentary “Fem cumó, un altre camí” will be screened in Prats de Lluçanès, at 6pm at La Rosada (Plaça Nova, 6). Full information here.

On Friday 14 November we’re taking part in the gathering “Living farmhouses”, 1st Exchange Day on Revitalising Rural Heritage organised by Fundació Mas i Terra at the University of Girona. Full information here.

On Saturday 15 November we’re taking part in the gathering “Food revolution”, organised by Greenpeace Catalonia in Barcelona (Esquerra de l’Eixample). Also joining will be people from the agricultural sector, from Eixarcolant, from acTe, from the Coordinadora de Mercats de Pagès… Full information on the poster.

On Thursday 27 November there will be the gathering “Rural commons: invisibilised models and new paths to explore” in La Selva del Camp (Baix Camp), organised by CoopCamp, the Ateneu Cooperatiu del Camp de Tarragona. The gathering will include a talk on the historic Comuna del Camp, a talk on what we do at Emprius and a screening of the documentary “Fem cumó, un altre camí”, with a member of Usnea RP present. On Saturday 29 November there will be FESSrural 2025 (Festival of Rural Social and Solidarity Economy), which this year will take place in Bot (Terra Alta), with the theme “The art of living in rural areas”. This is the fifth edition! You can see the programme here.

On Sunday 30 November the documentary “Fem cumó, un altre camí” will be screened in Bot (Terra Alta), as part of the programme for FESSrural 2025, which includes activities the day before and the day after. It will be at the Espai Àgora, in the Magatzem Via Verda, at 12.30pm. You can see the programme here.

On Wednesday 3 December we’re taking part in the course Specialisation Course in Social and Solidarity Economy organised by Ponent Coopera, giving a talk on “The commons: collective intelligence at the service of people and community”, which we’re running together with Adrián Almazán.
On Sunday 7 December the documentary “Fem cumó, un altre camí” will be screened in Tolva (Aragon, Baixa Ribagorça), at 6pm in the Social Hall. Full information here.

On Friday 12 December the documentary “Fem cumó, un altre camí” will be screened in Barcelona, at the Ateneu La Torna (c/ Goya, 18). The event starts at 7.30pm. More information coming soon.

On Tuesday 16 December the documentary “Fem cumó, un altre camí” will be screened in Manresa, at the Ateneu Popular La Sèquia (c/ Sant Miquel, 11). The event starts at 6.30pm. More information coming soon.
