Emprius Open Doors gathering

As you know, Emprius is an open and participatory initiative, and next Thursday 9 October at 6pm we’re gathering to explain how we work. If you follow the project and would like to know more about how we organise ourselves, if you’ve thought about lending a hand to make it possible… this is your space! If you want to come to the Open Doors session, sign up using the link below.
The gathering will be online and we’ll explain the internal working and, in particular, the different working groups that make Emprius’s vision possible. The working groups currently active are:
- Outreach working group: we share out the talks, fairs and other activities that raise Emprius’s profile, where we’re invited or that we organise ourselves.
- Prospecting working group: we visit farms and land that Emprius might acquire. We meet the collectives driving the projects. In this group, we especially value profiles with technical knowledge in architecture, economics, agronomy… and other specialisms that help us analyse the potential of spaces and track viability plans. We also value people with knowledge of communal living and/or co-operation, to support groups through the project creation process.
- Communication working group: we discuss communication strategy, membership campaigns, design, and seek media coverage…
- Funding working group: we creatively seek potential funding, both for the day-to-day running of the organisation and for specific projects.
- Shared Tools working group: we develop initiatives to encourage shared use of tools in rural and community settings.
- Events working group: we plan, organise and run Emprius’s different events and initiatives: the Sentit Comunal congress, the Emprius Prize ceremony, the Community Gatherings…
If none of these fit, don’t worry! We can always use more hands, heads and hearts, and you’ll have something valuable to offer or improve at Emprius.
Emprius can only keep growing if we make it happen together. Join us!
