The communal resurgence

On Friday 26 May at the El Turrós housing co-operative we’re taking part, together with other friends, in a day on the challenges of the present and the future opportunities around communal lands and emprius in the rural areas of the bioregions mentioned.

We will explore the traces of communal tradition in the Catalan Countries with Marc August Muntanya, talk with various initiatives about the current state of this movement in their regions, and end with a celebration and brief musical performance.

Programme:

5.30pm Memory: history and persistence of communal lands and communal uses in the Catalan Countries With Marc August Muntanya.
6.15pm The communalising present: participating initiatives with whom to share where we are, our challenges and direction. The focus will be on co-operative housing, community governance and forest management.
