Communal lands as a rural management tool

We continue moving forward in the reVolta Comunal, and on 18 May you’ll find us in Ponent, at the Bar Centro in Maldà at 6.30pm.

We will share space (and reflections) with one of our ambassadors, Josep Maria Busqueta, who will give a brief introduction on recovering the memory of treball a jova – neighbours’ shared farm work – to give everyone context.

Then there will be a round-table discussion with different experiences around collective self-organisation: we’ll talk about housing in Maldà and Bellpuig, shared production workshops (with Tres Cadires), farm test spaces and a mobile slaughterhouse (with the Associació d’Iniciatives Rurals de Catalunya, ARCA) and other shared equipment (with the Agrupació de Defensa Vegetal (ADV) Ecològica de Ponent).

And finally, Alba Hierro will present Fundació Emprius, and keep sharing our lines of work for strengthening communalism in rural areas.
